Project goals and scope

UZCOPPER Processing serves as the integrator of engineering solutions, coordinating all project participants, ensuring the quality of deliverables and maintaining alignment with the project objectives. It helps reduce environmental impacts while establishing a new industrial sector for the processing of technogenic raw materials in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

UZCOPPER Processing is responsible for developing a new production asset that applies modern technologies to ensure efficient processing and unlock the value of previously accumulated technogenic resources.

Without the need for conventional mining and additional disturbance of the subsurface, UZCOPPER Processing is establishing a new industrial capability in Uzbekistan through an innovative, modern and environmentally responsible processing facility. The facility will process decades of old technogenic tailings from the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, recovering non-ferrous and precious metals from these resources.
